Komsomolskaya Square

Komsomolskaya Square is one of the oldest squares of Khabarovsk. Until 1923 it bore the name Sobornaya, then Krasnaya, before receiving its current name Komsomolskaya. A monument to the heroes of the Civil War in the Far East was installed here in 1956. In the past, there stood an Uspenskiy cathedral which was destroyed in the 1930s. Today the square is part of the city's historical center and borders on the regional park Muravyova-Amurskogo.
