Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat

The Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos "on the ditch" in Kaluga is a five-domed one-story building constructed in the style of Russian ornamental architecture. In the 18th century, the church suffered from fires and was rebuilt, and from 1935 to 1989 it housed an incubator poultry station. In 1994, the building was returned to the Kaluga diocese, and on March 15, 1998, Archbishop Clement reconsecrated the main altar, and a children's Sunday school opened at the church.
