John the Baptist Church

The Church of John the Baptist stands on Moscow Street, in the very heart of Kaluga city. The building is executed in the baroque style. Here there is kept a relic of Saint John the Baptist's remains and venerated among locals is the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God brought here from a neighboring house in memory of a deceased young man.
