Holy-Trinity Cathedraal

Калуга, пл. Старый Торг, 4

St-Troizky Cathedral — the main cathedral of Kaluga, located in its historical center on Old Market Square. The facade and plan design project was created by architect Ivan Yasnygin at the end of the XVIII century. A distinctive feature of the cathedral is its dome without supports, which became the largest in Russia at that time and exceeds the dome of Kazan Cathedral in St Pyotrsburg by 2.5 meters. Local residents call the cathedral the heart of old Kaluga.
