Knyaz Moscow Ivan III Monument

The monument to Grand Prince of Moscow Ivan III is situated on Old Trade Square in Kaluga. The solemn opening took place on November 12, 2017. The sculpture was created by Moscow master Andrey Korobtsov and has a height of 10.5 meters. Ivan III is known for completing the Great Standing on the Ugra River in 1480, freeing Russia from the Mongol-Tatar yoke. The artistic concept belongs to director Andrey Konchalovskiy.
