Crafts, Architecture and Lifestyle Museum

The Museum of Crafts, Architecture and Everyday Life is situated in Gosteva-Tsyplakova's wooden house on Kirova Street in Kaluga. Established in 1991 by L.I. Fedorova and V.A. Tkachenko. It houses the School of Masters of Kaluga Clay Dolls. The building is an architectural monument from the late 19th century and the sole surviving structure with a mansard roof in the city. The second floor showcases historical plans of Kaluga and images of urban life. In 2001, the institution became a member of the Union of Russian Museums.
