K.E. Tsiolkovsky Memorial House-Museum

The C.E. Tsiolkovsky House-Museum is located in Kaluga on Tsiolkovsky Street, 79. Here, Konstantin Eduardovich lived for 29 years, writing numerous significant works on aviation and astronautics. The house has been restored to its original state; all rooms are furnished with authentic exhibits. The museum opened on September 19, 1936. After the flood of 1908, the building was extended with a second floor featuring the scientist's working office. Since 1968, the museum has been presented as it appeared in 1933.
