Merchant Assembly

The Building of Kupetskoe Sobranie in Kaluga, built from 1815 to 1816, is situated on Old Trade Square. Originally intended for the city merchants' society, it long served as a restaurant venue. After reconstruction in 1979, it housed the Center for Scientific and Technical Information, whose collection comprises over a million printed publications. The architectural appearance of the building complements the historical ensemble of the square.
