Central Cinema

Central Cinema Theatre in Kaluga opened on May 1, 1935 and was the first cinema of the city. It is situated at the intersection of Kirova and Lenin streets. In 2000, reconstruction took place with updates to the "blue" and "red" halls. A large "red" hall was added in 1984. The building features modern equipment for showing 3D films and was the first sound cinema in Kaluga after the 1937 reconstruction by architect V.N. Yanushkevich.
