Kaluga Youth Theatre

The Kaluga Youth Theatre opened in 1964 and since then has been an important cultural center of Kaluga city. The theatre moved to the former cinema "udarnik" after receiving its own premises in 1967. Already from the early years of its operation it became a significant place for Kaluga youth. In 1970, a children's theatrical studio was established at the theater, and in 1997 the institution received professional status and entered the register of Russian theaters.
