Military Historical Center House of the Torubaevs (Malinin House)

The Military-Historical Center House of the Torubaevs (Malinin House) in Kaluga is located on a promontory of the Oka River's native bank. In 1789, the estate was acquired by the city head Ivan Vikulovich Torubaev, who organized the collection of donations for the Russian army in 1812 and was awarded the gold medal "For Diligence." The owners lived on the second floor of the house, while the first floor housed household services such as the kitchen and pantries. During the Soviet era, the building was converted into communal apartments, and after the demolition of the wing in 1951, a five-story residential building was constructed on the site of the estate's garden.
