Bilibin House (Shamil's House)

Bilibin House located at Pushkin Street, 4 in Kaluga is a federal cultural heritage site. From 1859 to 1867 it was home to Imam Shamil and his family as well as servants. The mansion was built in the late 18th century by gubernatorial architect Ivan Yasnogin. Today it is part of Kaluga's united museum-reserve and houses an exhibition dedicated to Shamil's stay in Kaluga. Additionally, most of the museum covers events related to World War I.
