Astronomical Observatory

The Astronomical Observatory in Kaluga is part of the State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics. Visitors can take an excursion lasting from 30 to 50 minutes during which no more than 15 people are present simultaneously. Three powerful telescopes are installed here for observing celestial bodies such as the Sun, Moon, planets, and artificial Earth satellites. Excursions include daytime observation of the Sun through special filters. The dome of the observatory is controlled remotely.
