Zakhaim Gates

Zakhaim Gates in Kaliningrad are situated on Lithuanian Wall at address: Lithuanian Wall Street, 61. This is part of historical city fortifications closed for night. Gates are decorated with round towers facing inside the town and octagonal ones pointing outwards. Upper parts of towers feature decorative niches-crosses and a gallery of embrasures. During restoration lost masonry elements were reconstructed and Soviet paint imitating bricks was removed. Inside walls contain a capsule holding messages from restorers.
