Central Park of Culture and Rest

Central Park of Culture and Rest in Kaliningrad is situated on Pobeda Prospect near Victory Square. There is a puppet theater in the building of former Kirche memorial to Queen Luise built from 1899 to 1901. In the park there are monuments to Baron Munchausen and Vladimir Vysotsky. Previously called "Louizewald", it belonged to the royal Prussian family until 1914 when it was transferred to the city. The park also hosted the coronation of King William I in 1861.
