1200 Guardsmen Monument

Monument to 1200 Guardsmen in Kaliningrad — memorial ensemble dedicated to the memory of soldiers from the 11th Guards Army who died during the siege of Königsberg in April 1945. It is situated on Guard Prospect and includes a mass grave, a wall with sixteen bas-reliefs and marble slabs, bronze sculptures "Siege" and "Victory". Eternal flame has been burning at the base of the obelisk since 1960. Nearby there is a chapel of Saint George built in honor of fallen soldiers in 1995.
