Royal Gates

Royal Gates - historical structure in Kaliningrad located at Frunze St., 112. After restoration in 2005 an historical-cultural center "Great Embassy" was opened here. The gates are decorated with statues of kings Friedrich I, Albrecht and Ottokar II Bohemian. Their facades were designed by architect F.A. Stüller. Construction was under the patronage of King of Prussia Friedrich Wilhelm IV, groundbreaking took place on August 30, 1843 according to General E.L. von Aster's project. From the street side there was a guardhouse.
