Kalingrad Regional Puppet Theatre

Kalingrad Regional Puppet Theatre is located at Prospekt Pobedy, 1a. The theatre's building is housed in an historical structure, formerly known as Kirche zur Gedachtnis der Königin Luise, built according to architect Friedrich Heytman’s design between 1899-1901. The main tower features a clock hand. The theatre commenced its operations in 1963 as an amateur studio attached to the drama theatre, becoming a professional ensemble in 1964. Today it is the sole children's professional theatre in the region.
