Kalingrad Regional Museum of Fine Arts
Kaliningrad, Leninskiy Ave, 83
Kalingrad Regional Museum of Fine Arts is housed in the historical building of the former Königsberg royal exchange designed by architect Heinrich Müller in 1875. The structure is faced with Obernkirchen sandstone and executed in Italian renaissance style with classicist elements. It is supported on 2202 pilings made from Siberian larch and partially situated above water level. Exhibits include collections of Russian and foreign paintings and sculptures. In October 2016 it was decided to relocate the museum to a new building due to issues discovered with the existing structure.
