Kalingrad Regional Drama Theatre

Kalingrad Regional Drama Theatre is situated at Prospekt Mira, 4. The building has history: after 1923 reconstruction it was called "Comic Opera", interior designs were made by architect Oscar Kaufman. It was restored in 1960 while keeping old structures intact. For the 750th anniversary of Kalingrad-Koenigsberg, corinthian columns and portraits of Russian writers were added. War actions of 1945 heavily damaged the building which was later reconstructed with Soviet symbols.
