Catherdral (Königsberg Cathedral)

Catholic Cathedral of Kaliningrad situated on Kant Island is one of Russia's oldest Gothic churches founded in 1333. It was built in Baltic Gothic style. Inside lies the grave of great philosopher Immanuel Kant buried in 1804 near the northeastern corner of the building. Despite being severely damaged during an Allied air raid in August 1944 it survived due to this grave. Today it is known as the region's main symbol depicted on commemorative coin. Its concert hall can accommodate up to 700 people.
