Friedrichsburg Gates (Lodeyny Dvor)

Friedrichsburg Gates, a branch of the Museum of the World Ocean, are situated on Portovaya Street in Kaliningrad. Inside the building there is a shipyard and an historical-cultural center "Shipbuilding Resurrection". Visitors are attracted by the opportunity to see wooden ships construction and a collection of traditional boats, among which stands out the donkey kayak. Architecture includes a barrel vault in the central passage and a cross vault in the side casemates. Notable in the site's history is the detention of Lieutenant York in 1779.
