Vrangels Tower

The Vanghel Tower in Kaliningrad is situated on Professor Baranov Street, 2a. Its construction was supervised by engineer Ernst Ludwig von Aster. The structure stands 12 meters tall with a base diameter of 34 meters. Inside there were levels of casemates connected by spiral staircases, while the second floor housed an open artillery platform. In 1924, a sculpture called "German Michel" was installed on its exterior side. During the war, it hosted military warehouses. Today, the tower is protected by the state as a cultural heritage site of Russia.
