Karl Marx Street

Karl Marx Street is one of the oldest and most important streets in Irkutsk, situated in the Right Bank district of the city. Its length is 2,350 meters; it runs from Gagarin Boulevard to Oktyabrskaya Revolution Street. Since 1920 it has borne its current name, previously known as Bolshaya Perspektivnaya. Today the street is part of the historical and architectural reserve area and is adorned with signs displaying its historical name.
