Spasskaya Church

Иркутск, ул. Сухэ-Батора, 2

Spasskaya Church in Irkutsk is the city's oldest stone building, founded in 1706. It houses relics of Saint Feodor Tomsky and venerated icons. In 1760 a bell tower was built, giving the church its current appearance. During Soviet times it served as a museum department but after being returned to the church in 2006, services resumed again. Nearby are the remains of the Irkutsk Kremlin, making it an important historical attraction.
