Babur Sculpture
Иркутск, ул. Ленина (сквер)
The sculpture "Babr" is located in a сквер on Lenina Street in Irkutsk. This mythical animal has become an unofficial symbol of the city and its emblem. Originally, babr referred to a tiger, but the image on the coat of arms of Irkutsk was changed. Babr is depicted together with a sable in his mouth, which is a historical tradition of the city's coat of arms. The sculpture is popular among tourists and locals due to frequent photos taken there.
