Yakov Pokhabov Monument

Yakov Pokhabov Monument is located on the Lower Angara Embankment in Irkutsk to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the city. It is one of the symbolic places of Irkutsk, symbolizing the foundation of Irkutsk Fortress in 1661 by Cossack explorer Yakov Pokhabov. There are few historical data remaining about his life.
