Admiral Kolchak Monument

The Admiral A.V. Kolchak monument was installed in Irkutsk near Znamensky Monastery on Angarskaya Street. It is the first such bronze sculpture in Russia depicting an admiral in a trench coat on a pedestal with reliefs of a red soldier and white guard lowering their bayonets. He is known as an Arctic explorer and leader of White Movement during the Civil War. Installation of the monument sparked public debates in the city.
