Angara Icebreaker Museum
Иркутск, проспект Маршала Жукова, 36а/1
Icebreaker "Angara", located in Irkutsk at Marshal Zhukov Avenue, 36a/1, is a branch of the Irkutsk Regional Museum of Local Lore. The ship, built in England at the end of the XIX century, for many years ensured navigation on Lake Baikal. Now it is in semi-submerged condition after decommissioning in the 1960s and serves as an open-air museum where exhibits about the history of shipping on Baikal are displayed. The exhibition is held at a permanent berth near Irkutsk Reservoir.
