Harlampievskaya (Mikhail-Arkangel'skaya) Church

Harlampievskaya (Mikhail-Arkangel'skaya) Church in Irkutsk stands on 5th Army Street, 59. The first wooden building of the temple was erected in 1738 thanks to donations from posadskoe man Emelyan Yugov. The bell tower received a large bell weighing 263 poods 20 pounds in 1797. At the church, famous merchants and businessmen prayed, including Grigory Shelikhov. The interior decoration included icons with silver vestments totaling over seven poods in weight. Over time, the lower chapel was renamed in honor of the Holy Women Myrrhbearers and Saint Innocent.
