Irkutsk Regional Puppet Theatre "Aichyonok" opened on January 8, 1935 and became the first theatre of its kind in Eastern Siberia and the Far East. Located at Bajkal Street, 32. Throughout its existence, the theater participated in numerous international festivals and was awarded several times. Its repertoire includes over 40 productions of various genres and formats. Initially working with puppets and marionettes, the theatre continued its activities even during difficult wartime years.
