White House

The White House in Irkutsk is situated on Gagarin Boulevard. It is a federal cultural heritage site designed in the style of Russian classicism. Here they discussed research on the Amur region, held official receptions and meetings of authorities. After reconstruction in the early 20th century, the building acquired its white façades. In 1918, the Irkutsk State University opened here. Explorer Gennady Nevelsky also visited this place.
