Suleiman Stalsky State Lezgian Musical and Drama Theatre

The State Lezgian Musical and Drama Theatre named after Suleiman Stalsky is located in Derbent at U.Buyuknakshe Street, 51a. Founded in 1906 as an amateur circle in Akhty village, it received the status of a state theatre in 1935 and was named after poet Suleiman Stalsky. The theater is the first national theater of Dagestan and still operates in Derbent, staging works by Russian, Georgian, Azerbaijani and Dagestani authors.
