Juma Mosque

Juma Mosque in Derbent is the oldest mosque in Russia and CIS, built in 733. Located in the heart of the old city, it has undergone numerous reconstructions while retaining its historical and spiritual significance. The inscription above the entrance reminds of the restoration after the earthquake of 1368-1369. Today, it is a significant architectural and cultural monument of the region.
