Pyotr I House

Small earthen hut of Pyotr I's House in Derbent is a historical site linked to the emperor’s stay during the Persian Expedition of 1722. Around it, in 1848, a fence made of stone columns and anchor chains was built under the order of Prince Mikhail Vorontsov. The museum complex was established in 2015; its exhibition includes archaeological finds such as coins, bullets, pendant crosses, and weapon fragments. This place has been revered by city residents for a long time and attracted famous personalities including writer Alexander Dumas.
