Nikolay Cathedral

Nikolay-Chudotvorets Church in Magnitogorsk is one of few new churches built in the Soviet Union in 1946 according to architect M.N. Dudin's project. The building features gilded bulbous domes and a high shatrov bell tower. The church was closed in 1960 and used for warehouses and planetarium for long time but after reconstruction in 1995 it was returned to believers. Originally the temple's building was constructed on the site of former store.
