Holy Ascension Cathedral (Church of the Ascension of the Lord)

The Holy Ascension Cathedral is situated in Magnitogorsk beside the river. It stands at 52 meters tall, with its principal dome adorned with gold. Built with assistance from JSC MMK, the interior showcases icons created by artists from Trinity-Sergius Lavra. Following a blaze in winter 2003, the structure needed restoration. Adjacent lies a memorial to Saint Simon of Verkhoturye.
