Holy Ascension Cathedral (Church of the Ascension of the Lord)

The Holy Ascension Cathedral is located in Magnitogorsk by the river. Its height is 52 meters and the main dome is decorated with gold. The cathedral was built with support from OJSC "MМК". The interior features icons painted by masters of Trinity-Sergius Lavra. After a fire in winter 2003, the building required restoration. Nearby is a monument to Saint Simon of Verhoturov.
