German Quarter in Magnitogorsk - unique architectural complex built in the 1940s by German prisoners of war. Located at area #14a of Leninsky district, between Mendeleeva, Stroiteley and Uralskaya streets. Buildings resemble Bavarian and Saxon houses, clad with natural stone and decorated with decorative elements: cornices and balconies. This place stands out among Urals cities for its western architecture designed by Soviet architects G.A. Simonov, E.A. Levinson and A.A. Oley with involvement from "Magnitostroy" trust.
