Magnitogorsk Historical and Regional Museum

The Magnitogorsk Historical and Regional Museum is located at: Magnetogorsk city, Army Street, 51A. Founded on August 31, 1944, it received its status as a historical and regional museum in 2011. The total exhibition area is about 2,200 square meters. The main exposition tells the story of Magnitogorsk's history and its contribution to Russian history. A distinctive feature of the museum is the literary department-museum-apartment of poet Boris Rushchov. The collection includes archaeological finds from the Upper Paleolithic to late medieval times, minerals from the Urals and metal artworks. The library contains over 13,000 books, including rare editions.
