Tale about Ural Monument

The monument "Skaz ob Ural" is situated on the Pervokamennaya Square in Chelyabinsk. It is a monumental sculpture of a folk hero created by Vitaly Zaykov. It symbolizes the strength and might of Southern Urals. The monument became the first city attraction greeting train passengers. In 2009, the composition was decorated in the style of Santa Claus due to the initiative of schoolgirl Dana Girko. The monument features distinct regional symbols.
