Alyosha Mausoleum

The monument-mausoleum of V.I.Lenin is situated in the "Red Field" park of Chelyabinsk city. The first stone was laid in January 1924, opened in July of the same year. The structure has a form typical for memorial architecture of those times. The entrance was decorated with a plaque bearing the inscription "Learn from Lenin". During World War II, the public library adjacent to the monument was closed.
