Shikhov-Pokrovsky House (Public Assembly House)

The building of Shikhov-Pokrovsky House is situated at Truda Street, 98 in Chelyabinsk. Originally it belonged to the Shikhovs family, then was used as a public gathering place for city residents. During World War I, it housed supplies. Since 1986, it has been operating as a geological-mineralogical museum functioning until early 2000s. Today, the mansion hosts cultural and educational events.
