Chelyabinsk City Forest

Chelyabinsk City Forest — a regional natural monument situated in the central part of Chelyabinsk. Its historical area was approximately 19.2 sq km. Forests consist mainly of ordinary pine trees. The territory belongs to the protected zone where new major construction is limited. The forest is a regional natural heritage site and an important component of the city's ecosystem.
