Vitebsk Railway Station

Vitebsk Railway Station is located on Kosmonavtov Street, 8. The building is executed in the style of Soviet neoclassicism and was built in 1952 by architect B. Mezentsev. The original station was expanded in 1912. Since 1902 it has been a junction due to the opening of the Vitebsk-Zhlobin branch line. In 1966 a plaque commemorating the centenary of the Vitebsk railway junction was installed, while in 1965 there was a memorial plaque marking Mikhail Kalinin's speech.
