Millennium Square Vitebsk

Millennium Square in Vitebsk is located in the city center near the Western Dvina River. Here there is a monument to St. Vladimir and his family, as well as an improved area connected with the ancient XII-century Belovshchenskaya church. The reconstruction project was developed by "Vitebskgrazhdanproject" institute in 1973. Architectural reference point is the Yakov Kolas Theatre. Initially it was planned to create here an open-air museum of the city's history.
