Partisan Glory Park named after Minay Shmyrev

Partizansky Park of Honor named after Minay Shmyryov is located in the center of Vitebsk on the high bank of the Western Dvina River. Renamed in 2010 in honor of organizer of partisan movement Minay Shmyryov. Here there is a monument to Vladimir Korotkevich (1994) and sign "To Children of War" (2011). Square of Heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812 is part of memorial territory. Nearby is Memorial Museum M.F. Shmyryov. Previously called Lenin Park. Through the park passes Suvorov Street.
