Chorsu Bazaar

Chorsu Bazaar is situated in the heart of Tashkent's historical district — Eski Shahar. It originated in the 10th century at the intersection of important trade routes of the Great Silk Road. Today, the market is a complex of covered galleries under blue domes where various products and goods can be found. Nearby are significant architectural monuments: Kokeldash Madrasah and Khodja Akhror Valiy Mosque. The name "Chorsu" derives from Persian words meaning "crossroads of four roads".
