Teshik-Tash Cave

Tezik-Tash Cave is located in Surkhandarya region among Baysuntau mountains. It is an important archaeological site where stone tools and remains of ancient animals were found indicating life of primitive hunters. Here also a child's Neanderthal burial from Mousterian culture was discovered researched by A.P. Okladnikov in 1938-1939. The cave's name means "leaky stone".
