Surhandares Museum of History

The Surkhondarya History Museum is located in the center of Termez. Its exhibition covers the history of Bactria, the Kushan Empire period, Buddhist heritage and Islamic culture of the region. Visiting the museum helps to better understand the cultural diversity and historical layers of Surkhondarya, complementing impressions from acquaintance with archaeological monuments such as Fayztepa, Karatepa and Old Termiz.
