Shahi Zindah

Shahi Zinda Necropolis is located in the northern part of Samarkand and consists of mausoleums and religious structures from the 11th to 19th centuries. Named after Kusam ibn Abbas, a relative of Prophet Muhammad. The main attraction is a narrow street with bright tiled facades, blue mosaic and domes. The complex is an important shrine and symbol of the city.
